Quick Tour 4: Global Indicators of Spatial Autocorrelation

Compute the Moran's I and Geary's c measures of spatial association for the West Virginia 1980 and 1990 housing values, using the first three orders of contiguity.

Uses SpaceStat only.

Required: First to third order contiguity weights as gal, gwt or fmt file; matching SpaceStat data set that contains housing value variable.

  1. Press Ctrl-O choose the Options, then set

    1. 1-Working directory to C:\space\data\wvhouse\

    2. 4-Indicator variable to FIPSNO.

    3. Hit [escape] to return to the main menu.
